Wild About Bears! is an activity guide designed to help educators teach across the curriculum in an interdisciplinary way using the topic of bears as an organizing concept. The guide promotes the appreciation, understanding and stewardship of bears throughout the world with particular focus on the bear species found in B.C. and bear/human interactions.
The guide provides a primer on the bears of the world, 14 activities designed to actively engage Grades K-7 students in experiential learning, and extensive appendices that contain information on bears of the Yukon, action learning, youth projects, tracks and tracking, additional teaching resources and cross-referencing to other WildBC materials.
